LOW Kah Keong heads the Asset Management & Funds Practice and is a Partner in the Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.
His main areas of practice are mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, asset management and collective investment schemes.
In the arena of asset management, Kah Keong has acted for Ascendas Land International Pte Ltd, CapitaLand Limited, Ascott Holdings Limited, Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd and the Pacific Star group as sponsors and fund managers of several wholesale private equity real estate funds. He has also advised the Qatar Investment Authority, Credit Suisse and Societe Generale in their investments in real estate funds and collective investment schemes.
For mergers & acquisitions transactions, Kah Keong has advised Jurong Town Corporation in its divestment of a real estate portfolio to a fund to be established and managed by Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd., UBS AG in its acquisition of ABN AMRO's Singapore futures and options business, Tokyo Stock Exchange in its acquisition of a strategic 4.99 per cent stake in the Singapore Exchange Limited, SPRING Singapore in its divestment of PSB Corporation Pte Ltd and PSB Certification Pte Ltd for S$124 million, CapitaLand Limited in its divestment of PREMAS Limited for S$62 million and Ascendas Land International Pte Ltd in acquiring a prime office property in Shanghai, China for S$125 million.
Kah Keong graduated from the National University of Singapore and was admitted to the Singapore Bar.
Kah Keong authored the Singapore Chapter: Funds Formation in Getting The Deal Through: Private Equity: 2008. He also speaks regularly on Singapore corporate and securities laws and mergers and acquisitions at various conferences.
