LIM Hui Chern is a Partner in the Corporate Real Estate Practice.

Her main practice areas are property-related corporate transactions, real estate disposals and acquisitions, real estate investment trusts, tenders, property advisory work, leasing and financing.
 
Transactions of significance which Hui Chern has been involved in include acting for The Ascott Group Limited ("TAG") (the "Sponsor"), the world's largest serviced residence owner-operator outside of the United States and Ascott Residence Trust Management Limited (the "REIT Manager") in the sale and purchase of two Singapore properties as well as 10 foreign properties in the People's Republic of China, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia collectively worth S$855.8 million for the purposes of injecting the 12 properties into the initial portfolio of Ascott Residence Trust ("ART"), the first pan-Asian serviced residence trust to be listed on the Singapore Exchange, and Pacific Star Prime REIT Management Limited (now known as Macquarie Pacific Star Prime REIT Management Limited) (the "Manager") in connection with the acquisition by Macquarie MEAG Prime REIT ("Prime REIT") of a 74 per cent interest in Wisma Atria and a 23 per cent interest in Ngee Ann City, valued at approximately S$1.3 billion, and also acted for Prime REIT in the acquisition, in relation to the offering of units in Prime REIT by the Manager and the listing of the units in Prime REIT on the Singapore Exchange.

Hui Chern was also involved in several other transactions including acting for TAG in its S$217.5 million acquisition of Hotel Asia, Asia Insurance Building and Hotel Asia Private Limited, Mapletree Trustee Pte Ltd in its S$20 million acquisition of Ban Teck Han Building for the purposes of injecting the property into the initial portfolio of Mapletree Logistics Trust, and also for ProLogis, a U.S. real estate investment trust listed on the New York Stock Exchange, on its maiden investment in Singapore in its acquisition-cum-leaseback for 10 years of a logistics property situated at 11 Changi South Street 3, Singapore, from Shining Corporation Ltd, which is listed on the Singapore Exchange.

Hui Chern graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2000 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar.
