Gerry GAN co-heads the China Practice and is a Partner in the Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.

His main practice areas are equity capital markets transactions (initial public offerings and private placements), mergers and acquisitions (involving public and private companies) and general corporate law.
 
Transactions of significance which Gerry has been involved in include acting for Parkway Holdings Limited ("PHL"), in its acquisition of a 60 per cent stake in the World Link chain of clinics operating in Shanghai, PRC, for over US$43 million, via the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Medical Resources International Pte. Ltd by PHL's wholly-owned subsidiary Parkway Group Healthcare Pte. Ltd., from Hong Kong incorporated WorldLink Medical Systems Limited, Hua Xiong Holdings Pte. Ltd., an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of The CapitaLand Group (Singapore's largest real estate company) in the purchase of 50 per cent of the issued share capital of Beautiwin Limited from Welitron Profits Limited, which is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Lai Fung Holdings Limited (whose shares are listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and whose principal activities include property development and investment in the PRC), Huteng Investment (Shanghai) Pte Ltd ("Huteng Investment"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CapitaLand China Holdings (Commercial) Pte. Ltd., in the sale of all the equity interests in the registered capital of Shanghai Huteng Real Estate Co. Ltd. ("Shanghai Huteng") to Hoover Realty SRL, an entity organised and existing under the laws of Barbados, and which is affiliated with Goldman Sachs and its associated entities, where Huteng Investment is the current holder of such equity interests. This is another landmark transaction in Shanghai's high-grade office building market involving the amount of about US$107.6 million. Shanghai Huteng, a foreign-invested enterprise established in PRC and wholly owned by Huteng Investment, is the current 100 per cent registered owner of the land located at 318 Fuzhou Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai, PRC and the registered building thereon, known as Pidemco Tower.

Gerry graduated from King's College London, University of London and was admitted as a Barrister-at-Law (Middle Temple). He was also admitted to the Singapore Bar.
