Cornelia FONG is a Partner in the Corporate Real Estate Practice.
She has extensive experience in all aspects of property-related work including sales and purchases, development work, mortgages, mortgagees' sales and tenancy matters.
Transactions of significance which Cornelia has been involved in include acting for Japura Development in the sale of 180 units in the condominium, Costa del Sol, to shareholders of Anchorage View Pte Ltd and Anchorage Coast Pte Ltd for over S$200 million; Como House Pte Ltd, a private investment company of hotelier Mr Ong Beng Seng in their purchase of 6B Orange Grove Road and also in their mortgage of the property to Citibank N.A., Singapore Branch for banking facilities for the purchase of the property; and Kings & Queens Development Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of UOL Group Limited in its en bloc acquisition of Eng Cheong Towers for future development of a mixed development known as "Southbank" comprising residential, retail and office (SOHO) units.
Cornelia has also acted for major property developers in their purchase of residential sites and subsequent sale of units in residential development projects (comprising condominium, apartment, semi-detached and detached houses) across Singapore, landlords and tenants in leases of residential and commercial premises, as well as office buildings, banks in mortgagees' sales and drafting and review of auction terms, tender and other sale and purchase documentation, and in the enbloc purchase of properties.
Cornelia graduated from the University of Nottingham and was admitted to the Singapore Bar.
