Christopher CASSIM is one of the founding partners of WongPartnership and was instrumental in the setting-up of the Corporate Real Estate Practice where he is now serving as a Consultant.

His main practice areas are commercial and residential purchases and sales, property finance, property development, commercial and residential leases and other landlord and tenant matters and property-related corporate transactions.

Transactions of significance which Christopher has been involved in include acting for boutique developer, Elevation Developments, in the purchase of Sentosa Cove's only strata landed housing development, The Green Collection; UIC Investments (Properties) Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of United Industrial Corporation Limited in the purchase of UIC Building at S$600 million; Kings & Queens Development Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of UOL Group Limited in its en bloc acquisition of Eng Cheong Towers for future development of a mixed development known as "Southbank" comprising residential, retail and office (SOHO) units; CapitaLand Commercial Limited in its divestment of the retail shopping mall known as Plaza Singapura to CapitaMall Trust for an aggregate purchase price of S$710 million; ERGO Tru Asia Pte Ltd in the acquisition of an interest in Ngee Ann City through a securitisation structure, which involved the sale by Metro Holdings Limited of its 27 per cent interest in Ngee Ann City to a Special Vehicle Company ("SPV1"), the issue by another Special Vehicle Company (which is the holding company of SPV1) of S$332 million Senior Bonds and S$228.25 million Junior Bonds, and the acquisition of 70 per cent of the Junior Bonds by a consortium formed and led by ERGO Trust GmbH.

Christopher is an honorary Legal Advisor to the Young Musician's Society of Singapore. He previously lectured and tutored the Board of Legal Education's Postgraduate Practical Law Course.

Since 2003, Christopher has been recognised by the international publication The Asia Pacific Legal 500 as a leading Real Estate lawyer. He is also highly recommended for Corporate Real Estate work in Singapore by PLC Cross-border Handbooks - Corporate Real Estate.
