TAN Choo Leng , Senior Consultant

TAN Choo Leng is a Senior Consultant in WongPartnership LLP.

Her main practice areas are real estate project financing, structuring of companies, stamp duty and tax-related issues and regularisation of complexities in titles.

She has over 30 years of experience in property and real estate. Apart from her main practice areas, she has advised clients on acquisitions and dispositions, leasing of and development of vacant land, residential, industrial and commercial properties and hotels. Her clients include public listed and private corporations, banks, societies, unincorporated associations, charities and individuals.

During her practice as a senior partner with another top law firm in Singapore, Choo Leng had acted for major landlords and major tenants in their negotiations and tenancies as well as advised management corporations, building owners and tenants on matters relating to the control and management of the common property in buildings. She had also acted in transactions involving syndicated loans, multi-currency loans, bonds, joint ventures, asset and business acquisitions, asset restructuring and debt restructuring in conjunction with other practices, and advised on legal issues and on regulatory requirements and permits for acquisition of properties by clubs, societies, charities and religious bodies.

Choo Leng commenced practice in 1973. She is fluent in Mandarin and Hokkien.

She is a public notary and commissioner of oaths, and is a patron of several charitable organisations.
